towards the start of the residency -it felt quite tight/closed - usual familiar methodology of formalising - making sense - feeling the way. the images started to take on a life of their own though, gradually over a period of time became 'free-er' more animated. [ less #exhaustedimage more energised ] Empowered. the possibilities of the large - huge- blank wall were limitless, I wanted to push it. at the time tweeted that the experience had allowed the practice to expand both literally and cognitively - what did I mean by this? [pick apart that statement - saying it is not enough.] Visual expansion - freedom - open-ended experimentation, the work was ALLOWED TO BE. zero end result expectation - liberating. Cognitively - the process gave an insight into other interpretations - micro and macro - found myself thinking in terms of the body fragmented [# becomingdata ] not only in relation to digital terminology but also in terms of a biological definition...
