Reflecting on work #everythingisamaquette = Zero end result expectation = Agency to be.

 towards the start of the residency -it felt quite tight/closed - usual familiar methodology of formalising - making sense - feeling the way.  the images started to take on a life of their own though,  gradually over a period of time became 'free-er' more animated. [ less #exhaustedimage more energised ] Empowered. the possibilities of the large - huge- blank wall were limitless, I wanted to push it. at the time  tweeted that the experience had allowed the practice to expand both literally and cognitively - what did I mean by this? [pick apart that statement - saying it is not enough.] Visual expansion - freedom - open-ended experimentation, the work was ALLOWED TO BE. zero end result expectation - liberating. Cognitively - the process gave an insight into other interpretations - micro and macro -  found myself thinking in terms of the body fragmented [# becomingdata ] not only in relation to digital terminology but also in terms of a biological definition...

Creates visual juxtapositions between action and language, treating language as an object and objects as languages [props]. She warps swops and pops their positions as she works with subversion to unearth the subjection of interpretation/memory. Her installations are conceived for specific occasions disappearing after they are exhibited. Ephemeral - only existing as a digital aftermath. Reconfigured - fragmented - becoming data like accessories to the fact highly deliberately edited/filtered the objects - secret understandings between them across media transubstantiation [qualities of] bodily - really? not sure thinking. Examining and reflecting on the reoccurring motifs within my practice. Exhausted Image Rhizome Strata Democratic Nature The motivation of my studio practice: To work within an environment where the techniques of making oscillate between the analogue and  the digital, where translations between ideas and matter or the reshaping of volume and substance, are in focus for reflection and transfer of knowledge. [self] Transformations can happen by finding other solutions and through unexpected results that provide new experiences, or in the transmission between media that generates a 'glitch' or a perfect finish. #glitchyglitch

the new dreamy and melancholic work explores the complex and challenging condition of an incorporeal world. abstracted musing and elegatic strains navigate the experience of living in hyperreality with all its inhumanity superficiality and discomforting artificiality. 'The shed skin of the world has drifted up to form a lens over your eyes, your ears are clogged with the same - everything looks too sharp too crisp too juicy - saturation is the mode.'

Time is increasing as an eternal present without end - rather than a linear sequence. Incorporeal - not composed of matter having no material existence.

EVERYTHING IS A MAQUETTE

 ‘EVERYTHING IS A MAQUETTE’ The title for this  proposal comes from an idea that everything which has gone before has led to the current point. I would like to apply for the opportunity to reside within the space for a period of two weeks. Either 19th February – 4 th March or alternatively a two-week period from the start of May – 10th June to fit around other artists proposals.  Using the opportunity to work in an uncluttered environment where the focus is my practice. I see it as an opportunity to make an excavation – a peeling back and revealing of the work and research. To see what connections can be made from past works and how I come to be at this moment, where I find myself.  Like a giant inversion. Much of the work exists ‘on-line’ across social media platforms blog etc, therefore are transient and ephemeral things existing in digital space, I propose to bring in a printer and make these works a visible tangible and physical thing, through collage – v...

Starting to research and think about my upcoming residency later in the year.
